  • Activities Offered: Look at what activities are available. If you enjoy yoga, meditation, or spa treatments, make sure the retreat offers these. Choose a retreat that matches your interests.

  • Budget: Think about how much you are willing to spend. Retreats can vary in price, so find one that fits your budget. Remember to consider all costs, including travel and any extra activities.

  • Accommodation: Check the type of accommodation offered. Do you prefer a private villa, hotel, island or maybe cabin? The comfort and privacy of your stay are important for relaxation.

Planning and Preparation

  • Booking Accommodations: Reserve your accommodation early to ensure you get the best options for the best price. Look for accommodation that offers comfort and matches your preferences.

  • Packing Essentials: Make a list of what you need to bring. Essentials might include comfortable clothing, toiletries, any necessary medications, and items for specific activities like yoga mats or hiking boots. Don’t forget a good book or journal for some quiet time if that’s what you are in to.

  • Setting Intentions: Before you go, think about what you want to achieve from the retreat. Whether it’s to relax, detox, or simply take a break, setting intentions can help you focus and get the most out of your experience.

  • Disconnecting from Technology: Plan to unplug from your devices. Disconnecting from technology allows you to fully relax without the stresses of your phone/laptop.

  • Creating a Peaceful Environment: Bring items that help you relax, such as a favourite pillow/pillowcase or essential oils. Creating a peaceful environment can enhance your relaxation.

Prioritising self-care is essential for maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Taking time to focus on yourself during a retreat allows you to recharge and return to daily life feeling refreshed and revitalised. By nurturing your mind, body, and soul, you can achieve a greater sense of harmony and peace.

Connecting with Nature

Connecting with nature during a relaxation retreat offers many benefits. Spending time outdoors can greatly promote relaxation and stress relief. Here’s how nature can help:

  • Relaxation: Nature provides a calm and peaceful environment. The sounds of birds, rustling leaves, and flowing water can help soothe your mind.

  • Stress Relief: Being in nature reduces stress levels. Fresh air and natural scenery can improve your mood and reduce anxiety.

  • Physical Health: Activities like walking or swimming in nature are good for your physical health, enhancing your overall well-being.

Incorporating nature-based activities into your retreat is simple some ideas can be:

  • Hiking: Explore local trails and enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings. Hiking is a great way to exercise and clear your mind.

  • Swimming: Find a nearby lake, river, or ocean to swim in. Swimming in natural waters can be refreshing and invigorating.

  • Stargazing: Spend your evenings looking at the stars. Stargazing can be a peaceful and awe-inspiring activity, helping you connect with the universe.

  • Nature Walks: Take leisurely walks in the forest, by the beach, or in a park. Slow walks allow you to fully immerse yourself in the natural environment.

By incorporating these nature-based activities, you can enhance your relaxation retreat and experience the healing power of nature.

Integration Into Everyday Life

Carrying the relaxation and mindfulness practices learned during your retreat into everyday life is essential for continued well-being. Here’s how to do it:

  • Daily Meditation: Set aside a few minutes each day for meditation. This helps maintain a sense of calm and reduces daily stress.

  • Routine Relaxation: Incorporate relaxation activities, like reading, journaling, or taking nature walks, into your daily routine. Regular relaxation helps maintain balance.

  • Healthy Eating: Continue to eat nutritious meals that nourish your body. Healthy eating supports both physical and mental well-being.

  • Digital Detox: Implement regular digital detoxes, such as no screens before bed. This reduces stress and improves sleep quality.

  • Stay Active: Keep up with any physical activities you enjoyed during the retreat, like yoga or walking. Regular exercise boosts your mood, energy levels and improves your sleep.

  • Set Intentions: Begin each day or week by setting positive intentions. This helps you stay focused and aligned with your goals.

By integrating these practices into your everyday life, you can maintain the relaxation and mindfulness benefits long after your retreat ends, leading to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

  • Essentially, relaxation retreats are aimed at getting away from your everyday life, de-stressing, rejuvenating and improving your overall wellbeing. These types of retreats help you bounce back into your normal day-to-day life fresher than ever.

  • This totally depends on you and how you tend to like to relax and unwind. Some like to relax at an All-Inclusive resort, whilst others may prefer a cabin in the mountains. This will always differ from person to person, hence why all our retreats are 100% bespoke and tailored to your needs.

  • How long you should spend at a Relaxation Retreat completely depends on you and how long you feel you need to truly relax and break from your everyday life. For some people, it can take 3 days to just break from thinking about their everyday life. It also depends on how much time you are able to take off and how much you are willing to spend. We would recommend anywhere from 3 days to 21 days.

  • Usually, we would suggest a lot of downtime and doing things you love. Whether that be reading a book on the beach, going on nature trails and hikes, meditating or just spending quality time with your friends and family. There doesn’t need to be a set schedule as it slightly defeats the purpose of relaxing and breaking from following a schedule every day, we would recommend having 2-3 activities a day that you can get stuck into and the rest free and spontaneous time.

  • There’s no best time to go on a Relaxation Retreat, it’s when you feel it fits or is needed, a lot of the time people leave it until the last minute to book one due to being burnt out at work or realising they have taken only 7 days of PTO for the year! We recommend planning in advance if possible, if you know you have a busy first half of the year, why not schedule one for the middle of your busy period to give yourself a reset and get you stuck back into work after. If that feels impossible, at the end of your busy period when you know you will need it most would also work just fine. We recommend having a least one Relaxation Retreat a year, and trust us, you will be thankful you went on it and want another ASAP!

  • The cost varies widely depending on the location, duration, accommodation, and activities included. Prices can range from a few hundred to several thousand pounds. It completely depends on what you would be happy to spend.
